Classroom Adventures

Friday lessons they actually remember.

A classroom escape room has to survive constraints a living room does not. Thirty students instead of six. One period instead of an afternoon. No padlocks, because a padlock in a classroom is a lost padlock. And it has to work when seven groups reach the same puzzle at different times.

The format that holds up is groups of four with identical packets, and a self checking final answer instead of a physical lock. A password that only spells something when every step is right does the job a padlock does: it tells the group they are finished without the teacher walking around to verify twenty seven answers.

Budget ten minutes at the end that you are willing to lose. Something always runs long, and a group that gets cut off mid puzzle remembers the cutting off. Everything here prints in black and white, because the staff room printer is the staff room printer, and comes with an answer page for the person at the front of the room.
